Like his reputation the poitín would make its way from the lough above Meenacanon across ditch and stream, through hedgerows and handshakes to celebrate life. Today we carry on his way, unfiltered.

Parts of Donegal declared independence rather than give up the right to distil.
In 1815, 5 times more stills were seized in Donegal then any other county.

Taste

A top of the palate tingle, creaminess of the oats, fresh citrus, earthy, a subtle but proud smoke and a subtle cold brew coffee.

Smoky, as it always was

Donegal was renowned for its love of smoky spirits – its why parliament whiskey failed here.

Unfiltered

Repecting Frank’s method, keeping the grain in all the way to the wash still means we capture all the smoky character of the grain all the time.

Nose

Citrusy orange, peanut brittle, coconut and earthy smoke.
